Perfection is not everything!
In the beginning of Rtue’s artistic path in the graffiti world he perfected the abstraction of letters, a clear image line up and structural composition. Nevertheless he realized that his pieces lacked a certain soul. Through the urge to develop his visual language and he had to dig deeper in order to express his own feelings visually. Through the utilization of figurative images, the artist was able to make his pieces of art more profound and meaningful. The artist is always looking for a new way of interacting with his artistic compositions. During the process of creation he does not always understand the meaning of the artworks. But finally they open up and reveal their true meaning to him. The works of art tell the story of how past moments came into being and which feelings were involved. His paintings are undoubtedly deeply interlaced with his own life experiences.

Imagery disappears…
Due to the abstract, monochrom and grey color fields, the figurative imagery disappears. This can be interpreted as memories of couples, which appeared intimate and close in a specific moment and slowly distance themselves as well as fade over time. The intentional use of abstract elements on each canvas represents a pure manifestation of the unconscious, which overpaints the figurative image of a couple until empty deserted places arise, where the portrayed couple will never meet again. Therefore the greyish color fields and its ephemeral aesthetic in the artworks symbolize both past times as well as the transience of a moment.

Quiet Dates represents spaces of pause, where the artist brings his inner feelings to the surface.
