The development of the cherry blossom and the change, from winter to spring, is very inspiring for MadC. The colours of the flowers combined with the blue sky, green leaves as well as the white clouds are intoxicating, powerful and at the same time fragile and transient. All the colors and their various tonalities result in expressive and powerful pieces of art. Each canvas has its own mood and character – and thus it allows a completely individual emotional experience to the spectator. Moreover the viewer steps into a synesthetic perception of colors and emotions.
In Cherry Blossom MadC accentuates her roots in graffiti by utilizing drips, splashes and flares. Instead of using graffiti writing in its formal and functional way, she developed an artistic practice based on capturing the energy and expression of it. Today her art pieces stand out due to the abstraction of lettering, harmonic color choices as well as use of divers media.

MadC finds her inspiration while traveling, in conversations and even in reading books. But also collaborations with other artists open up her the mind for new apporaches. By combining different techniques, such as, acrylic, spray paint and water color her pieces have a multi-layered and attuned appearance.
Ultimately, for the artist, it is important to have the courage to be oneself and not to deny one’s roots in order to develop. MadC’s paintings are painted intuitively and thus express spontaneity and vitality.
