As a versatile young artist, Akacorleone has no limitations when it comes to mediums, techniques or formats. He creates works using foil, plexi, paint, spraycan, wood, ceramics as well as digital art. Basically he works with anything that excites him visually and therefore elevate his art works. He often plays with the principal colors, transparency of materials, dimension and depth. In the series Iridescent drawing, illustration and graphic design meet, intersect and are just juxtaposed or even superimposed.

Fine lines, detailed drawings and a rich content constitute Akacorleone’s series. The art works of Iridescent lead through a whole lifetime. Once an ancient city with various buildings is illustrated, another time a surreal dreamland can be discovered. Even the enclosed thoughts of the mind are expressed vividly through the linear yet figurative visual language. With every look, there is more to discover; from plants, to a lit cigarette, to a steaming coffee mug.

Akacorleone’s pieces often demand the observer’s interaction of some sort to be fully comprehended. Also in this case there are more meanings and interpretations to the subjects portrayed in his artworks. Furthermore, the pieces can take on all possible color variations, depending on the angle you look at it. This is possible due to an iridescent coat for industrial windows. The artist stumbled upon this material and „immediately in love with it“.

The series Iridescent illustrates the experience of encapsulating or amplifying a piece of information, whose message can be clear as an heartbreak or as complex as chaotic inner thoughts that are constantly going through our minds. Akacorleone’s artistic signature always intends to demonstrate the coming together of separate forces. This again can be expressed by the complexity of the drawing or by the simplicity of the material, as well as the other way around.
